Providing prompt and appropriate first aid can significantly reduce the impact of an injury or illness, and in some cases, save lives.
The Diocese strongly encourages churches to ensure some staff and volunteers are trained in giving first aid, and to support this by funding the training.
The Diocese recommends getting the one-day First Aid training provided by St John SA. This course is offered regularly across multiple locations, and it includes CPR Certification. The training is typically taken by Synod Office staff.
