Grants

Description

This article outlines how parishes can access grant funding and when Synod sponsorship may be needed.

Overview

Grants that may assist your church can be provided by federal, state and local governments, privatebusinesses, trusts, foundations or philanthropic organisations.

Our Parishes and churches as community organisations can apply for grant funding from State andFederal Governments and other organisations for projects according to the grant criteria of the government minister or organisation, which include having an Australian Business Number (ABN), being incorporated, and being a registered not-for-profit organisation.

Most churches within the Diocese of Adelaide are not separately incorporated. The Synod is incorporated and can often ‘auspice’ or sponsor an application on behalf of a church.

Contact your church’s Secretary of the Synod if sponsorship is needed.

Eligibility for specific government grants should be checked on the relevant government or organisation website.
